What have I learned?
Well, it is a hard one to narrow and point out specifics as I came into the Programme with pretty much know knowledge of anything about propellor.
One of the most valuable things I learned was regarding people skills, how to address people, learning where people are coming from with how they act and how to utilise individual skills to better achieve an outcome.
Different topics such as the ‘Myers Briggs’, ‘scare modules’ have been extremely beneficial to me as it has helped me gain knowledge with how different people act within the organisation. Understanding there may be a reason behind actions and seeing the behind scenes of someone’s thought process instead of just ‘assuming’ from a visual means.
What surprised me?
The biggest surprise for me is how easy it is to work together with a bunch of people who I have never met before. Everyone sharing their experience and being willing to take on tasks and try new things made for an exciting and great time with lots laughs.
What would I tell someone doing the programme next year?
Take whatever you think you know about yourself work vs personal actions and struggle aspects and write them down.
At the end of the programme, you will be amazed with how far you have come and how much you have changed and learnt.
